Is this a real song in "Bye Bye Birdie"?

I have the movie version of Bye Bye Birdie on videocette, and the opening sequence is Ann-Margret singing a song called "Bye Bye Birdie". However, I have the Broadway recording, but that's not on it. Was that made specifically for the movie? Can anyone tell me more about it?
