Is Lou Dobbs is right on target when he demands Homeland Security Michael Chertoff either resign or be fired?

Chertoff has been dragging his feet in the overall battle against the illegal invasion of America. We are witnessing a spillover of Mexican drug cartels into the United States eager for the riches they can harvest — at the expense of American lives. We are witnessing a spillover of Mexican drug cartels into the United States eager for the riches they can harvest — at the expense of American lives. In the midst of this, the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderón, is planning a visit to the United States to speak for the rights of Mexican illegals. Does the president of Mexico mean “rights?” What rights do they have? They are here illegally in violation of our sovereignty. Calderón should stay home. He has enough to do there. During the first 14 months of his presidency, he has been forced to send his federal troops into at least half a dozen states to cope with corrupt police activity. His predecessor, Vicente Fox, sent Mexican army troops to cope with the same corrupt police departments — obviously to no avail. Now Calderon is concerned with Mexican invaders’ rights within the United States? To illustrate the lawlessness of the cartels, Tijuana’s new chief of police says the killers are now after him. Alberto Capella Ibarra said 20 gunmen attacked him in the middle of the night as he fought them off with his automatic rifle. Called “Tijuana Rambo,” Capella is committed to cleaning up organized crime and corruption there. However, he faces a daunting task since his policemen are targeted. This is where Calderon should be taking care of business. When these illegals cross our border, they become criminals who are violating U.S. laws. At long last, Chertoff says the recent murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar shows why the fence is needed. Too little too late. Chertoff, in an interview, says Border agents have been attacked with firearms, knives, bats, steel pipes, vehicles, boats, etc. Violence on the border has increased 31 percent from 2006 to 2007. Attacks on agents jumped 44 percent over the same period. The Aguilar murder depicts the viciousness of the lawless Mexican dope cartels. The smugglers literally ran over Aguilar with their car. If Mr. Chertoff needs further evidence of the need for border security, the army of Mexico has taken police off duty in three Mexican towns. And Chertoff admits that he expects more border violence. The violence continues unabated. Our president should now sit down and read the law to the visiting president of Mexico. Tell him to go home and concern himself with his violent drug cartels instead of coming to the United States to represent his Mexican nationals. Our president should again be told that the American people are fed up with foot dragging by himself and Chertoff. The Aguilar murder again spotlights the crucial need for a presidential pardon for Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, the two Border Patrol agents sentenced to 10 years in prison after shooting a Mexican drug smuggler named Davila in the ocks. How dare the president of Mexico speak of the “rights” of criminals who violate our immigration laws? How many more of our Border Patrol agents are to be killed before we take action? How many more Ramos, Compeans, Aguilars must we witness before we take action? Chertoff said we have built 170 miles of fencing. Mr. Chertoff, our ociates say they can’t find it. The Mexican drug cartels are taking over the borders. It is time to say stop. Go home, Calderón, and take care of your own problems, and take your illegals with you!
