I want my blond hair back?

Oy vey. I have very light blond hair and I went to a salon and asked for strawberry blond highlights. Instead, I got copper highlights and they were very streaky and it looked awful. So, I went back and had them redo it by all over coloring it what was supposed to be a light brownish red color. Oh man. It isn't light at all. It's a dark red brown and way too dark for me. I want my blond hair back now. What can I do? I really really hate it. It's already been colored twice in two days. Would stripping it of color and re-dying it kill my hair? Help!?
