Becoming a physical therapy istant....?

I want to get an ociates degree for a PTA. I currently live on Long Island, NY and want to know from others in the same field, possibly same area which colleges are best for this? Also, is it a degree in this specific field or something else that pertains to it? I don't want online schools, I'd rather go in and learn hands on. Thanks to all!!
