Becoming a CA and a CFA?

I know it must be possible, as I have seen individuals with both designations; in fact I believe I even came across a writer that had both designations on Yahoo! Finance. I am currently in Accounting taking almost all Finance major cles as well. My plan is to go through the Master of Professional Accounting Program to achieve my CA. How would I achieve my CFA? I believe it is possible to do CFA level I during my final year of university? Also, is it even worth it to do so? I have had mixed responses to the benefits of achieving both designations. Ultimately my goal in life would be to work at an I-bank, partner in a big 4 Accounting firm, or achieve a job in a corporation such as a CFO. Any feedback on any related area of achieving both designations is greatly appreciated!
